Pyongyang, August 19 (KCNA) -- The government of the Russian Federation decided to provide the DPRK with grant-in-aid of 50 000 tons of food. The first ship loaded with food arrived in Hungnam Port on Friday. Other aid ships are expected to come to the DPRK in the future.

Food valuing at 5 million U.S. dollars donated by the Russian government through the WFP is also being provided to the DPRK.

The free food aid to the DPRK by the Russian government is a manifestation of the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the governments and peoples of the two countries.
