Pyongyang, August 20 (KCNA) -- The South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification issued a statement titled "Let us shatter war moves and reunify the country by concerted efforts of our nation" on August 15, the 66th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

66 years have passed since the August 15 liberation but this land has not yet been freed from the rule of foreign forces, the statement deplored.

The U.S. is lording it over in south Korea and let pro-U.S., pro-Japanese elements carry on war moves including joint military exercises targeted against the north, it charged.

The U.S. and the sycophantic and traitorous forces can never be pardoned as they are creating such a dangerous situation that a nuclear war may break any moment due to their reckless moves for confrontation, it noted.

It called for shattering all the moves of the war maniacs through a powerful anti-U.S. struggle and building a new society for achieving independent reunification under the uplifted banner of "By our nation itself".
