Pyongyang, August 20 (KCNA) -- President Kim Il Sung gave field guidance to the Kangson Steel Plant in December Juche 45 (1956) when the country was undergoing harsh ordeals just three years after the end of the Korean war.

During the field guidance the President told the plant's workers that the country would feel relief if they produced 10 000 tonnes more steel.

In response to his remark, they vowed to produce more than 10 000 tonnes.

Leaving the plant, he, deeply moved by their resolution, sang "Song of Red Flag" with confidence in the Korean people.

Let cowards flinch and traitors sheer,

We'll keep the Red Flag flying here

In the whole course of the Korean revolution, he always overcame difficulties and trials, relying on the people.
