Japan Hit for Avoiding Liquidation of Past
|

Pyongyang, August 21 (KCNA) -- The International Alliance of Societies for the Study of the Juche Idea and Songun Policy in East European and Central Asian Regions on August 17 posted on its Internet homepage an article titled "Japan avoids liquidation of its disgraceful and dirty past". The article said: Inglorious past is being redressed and issues that were left outstanding after the war are being coordinated among countries in the direction of making progress and establishing new relations based on reconciliation and cooperation. This has become the trend of the times. Japan, however, is going against this international trend. Abnormal relations still exist between the DPRK and Japan. Japan is totally to blame for this as it has persistently avoided the liquidation of its past, far from admitting them. The Japanese imperialists forcibly walked away and kidnapped many Koreans and forced them to do slavery labor and fight wars, ruthlessly killing them in the end. These were the biggest crimes they committed against the Koreans. From the first days of their occupation of Korea they maltreated and exploited the Korean people like animals. They forced Korean women ranging from girls in teens to married women into sexual slavery and tried to obliterate the national identity and culture of the Korean people. 66 years have passed since its defeat but Japan is making desperate efforts to shirk the responsibility for the past crimes, neither admitting nor making apology and reparation. This reveals its impudence and moral vulgarity. Japan should not fan up the fever for reinvasion of Korea but make honest admission, apology and thoroughgoing reparation for its past crimes. |
