Pyongyang, August 21 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Internet paper Jaju Minbo in a commentary on August 16 condemned the U.S. and the south Korean authorities for their dangerous joint military exercises for a war against the north.

They started the provocative Ulji Freedom Guardian joint military exercises on August 16, the commentary said, noting that the saber-rattling which will last till August 26 is a dangerous play with fire which may possibly lead to the second Korean war in view of the huge armed forces involved.

This time the authorities let civilians on five islands in the West Sea of Korea and other places stage Ulji training, an independent drill to cope with an actual war, it said. This fully reveals the nature of aggression of the on-going military exercises.

The commentary urged the warmongers to immediately stop the large-scale war maneuvers for a war against the north.
