Pyongyang, August 21 (KCNA) -- As many as 7 071 people were taken to hospital due to heatstroke across Japan in one week through August 14. Of the 7 071, 15 people died. This is attributable to extreme heat of 35 C or higher gripping many parts of the country.

Three people have been killed and several others reported missing on August 16 when a landslide caused by heavy rains hit a mining village in southern Philippines.
