Moscow, August 21 (KCNA) -- Russian Premier Vladimir Putin recently called for intensifying economic cooperation between his country and Belarus.

Addressing at a Russia-Belarus cabinet meeting, Putin said the world economy remains uncertain, fraught with a great danger, with the U.S. credit rating falling and the debt problem getting serious in the euro zone.

Under this situation, Russia and Belarus should pool efforts to the maximum, he said. They should also make an effective use of integration possibilities and cooperation means to actively deal with a possible outbreak of danger.
