Pyongyang, August 24 (KCNA) -- Chairman Genaro Ledesma Izquieta and General Secretary Cati Campos of the People's Front of Workers, Peasants and Students of Peru issued a joint statement on August 17 denouncing the U.S.-south Korea joint military exercises.

The U.S. and the south Korean puppet authorities are hurling huge armed forces into the Ulji Freedom Guardian joint military exercises, the statement said, and went on:

UFG is sparking off the unanimous protest of the progressives as it is a fuse to ignite a nuclear war which will inflict damage on the whole mankind.

The UN and other international organizations the whole world should thoroughly reject the U.S. and the south Korean authorities' provocations against the DPRK.

They should stop at once the exercises for a war of aggression against the DPRK.
