Pyongyang, August 24 (KCNA) -- The workers in the field of light industry are bringing about innovations in the production of consumer goods everyday, inspired by the news of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's visit to the Russian Federation.

The workers of the Pyongyang Textile Mill are now carrying out their daily production quotas at over 120 per cent with ardent longing for Kim Jong Il.

Similar successes are reported from the Pyongyang Hosiery Factory and the Sonkyo Knitwear Factory.

The workers of the Rakrang Ponghwa Garment Factory are close to honoring their monthly plan. Achievements are also reported from the Kyongryon Aeguk Cider Factory and the Taedonggang Beer Factory.

Production has reached an all-time high at the Susongchon Combined Foodstuff Factory, the Jongbangsan Combined Foodstuff Factory, the Changsong Foodstuff Factory, the Kanggye Wine Factory, the Hyesan Shoes Factory and the Hamhung Disabled Soldiers Essential Plastic Goods Factory.
