Pyongyang, August 25 (KCNA) -- Meetings were held by the Delhi Juche Idea Study Society of India and the Iceland-DPRK Friendship and Cultural Society on August 4 and 13 to mark the 51st anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's start of Songun revolutionary leadership.

Displayed in the venues of the meetings were books on the Songun leadership exploits of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and photos showing the appearance of Songun Korea.

Speeches were made at the meetings.

B. C. Gupta, chairman of the Indian society, said that the international authority and dignity of the DPRK have remarkably risen under the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il, adding that strong voices of the DPRK advocating independence, peace and the establishment of a new international order are heard in the international arena.

Jon Arni Halldorsson, general secretary of the Icelandic society, highly praised Kim Jong Il for having brought about world-startling miracles with his Songun politics.

He said that thanks to the Songun politics the DPRK has turned into an invulnerable fortress having so powerful defence capability that no one dares provoke it. He reiterated his will to intensify the movement supporting the Korean people in their just struggle in the future, too.
