U.S.-S. Korean Joint Military Exercises under Fire

Pyongyang, August 25 (KCNA) -- Organizations of Bangladesh, Austria and Switzerland and Peruvian and Indian personages accused the U.S. and the south Korean authorities of their reckless war maneuvers.

The Bangladeshi Group for the Study of Songun Politics in its statement on August 19 referred to the fact that the U.S. and the south Korean authorities finally kicked off the Ulji Freedom Guardian joint military exercises targeted against the DPRK, adding this goes to clearly prove again that they are wreckers of peace and trigger-happy forces getting frantic in their moves to ignite a new war on the Korean Peninsula.

The present reality clearly proves the validity of the Songun politics which helped turn the DPRK into a military power possessed of war deterrent for self-defence, it noted.

On the same day the Group of Youth for the Study of Kim Jong Il Juche Idea in Vienna in a resolution strongly denounced the military provocations of the U.S and the south Korean puppet forces and demanded an immediate stop to the war exercises targeted against the DPRK.

The Switzerland-Korea Committee and the Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche Idea in a joint statement on August 12 accused the south Korean warmongers of seeking a pretext for attacking the DPRK, while perpetrating shameless provocations and mud-slinging. The DPRK desires peace but it will never beg for it, it added.

Genaro Ledesma Izquieta, chairman of People's Front of Workers, Peasants and Students of Peru, said in a statement on August 18 no invaders can ever encroach upon even an inch of the inviolable territory of the DPRK nor can hurt even a blade of its grass.

Wipin Gupta, chairman of the Juche Philosophy Study Committee of India, in a statement on August 19 noted the U.S. and the south Korean warmongers dare not ignite a war against the DPRK as long as there is Songun politics pursued by General Secretary Kim Jong Il.
