Pyongyang, August 25 (KCNA) -- DPRK honorary doctorate of pedagogy was conferred on James Chin-Kyung Kim, co-president of operation of Pyongyang University of Science and Technology, for his contribution to the prosperity and development of the socialist homeland and education of younger generation.

A ceremony of awarding the doctorate took place at the Mansudae Assembly Hall Thursday.

On the same day honorary Pyongyang citizenship was also conferred on him.
