Pyongyang, August 25 (KCNA) -- Many masterpieces based on the history of Kim Jong Il's Songun (military-first) leadership have been created in the DPRK.

One of them is Korean painting "10 000km Inspection Tour".

The painting represents great exploits performed by Supreme Commander Kim Jong Il in making an uninterrupted inspection tour of army units to defend the destiny of socialism and the happiness of people from the imperialists' threat.

The masterpiece portrays the leader driving a jeep to climb a military post in a frontline area in a winter day.

It imbues the Korean people with a great pride in being guided by an illustrious commander.

In a year of the 1990s when the situation of the country was rigorous, he made a 10,000km inspection tour to inspire servicepersons with confidence in victory and boost the might of the army.

The painting shows that thanks to his great feats, the DPRK has become a dignified and powerful socialist state.

Also seen in the painting are a commanding officer talking to the supreme commander with a map unfolded in his hands and a general with a broad smile on his face.

Their portrayal reflects the servicepersons' desire to meet him and their wishes for his good health.
