Pyongyang, August 26 (KCNA) -- Events took place in different countries on the 51st anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's start of the Songun revolutionary leadership. Photo exhibitions and film shows were held in South Africa and Nigeria and film shows in Mongolia, Malaysia and Thailand from August 16 to 25.

Displayed in the venues of the photo exhibitions were photos on his Songun revolutionary leadership feats and those on the invincibility of the Korean People's Army.

Films shown included "Fireworks for a Thriving Nation" and "Arms of Korea".

Present at the events were officials of the Mfumalanga Provincial Committee of the South African Communist Party, the South African Association of Friendship and Solidarity with Korean People, the Nigeria-Korea Stereo Industrial Company, Unit 0151 of the Mongolian Frontier Army, the UM Cooperation General Company of Malaysia and the Universal Surveying Company of Thailand and masses.

Lectures were given by the Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Association of Guinea, the Guinean Society for the Study of the Juche Literary Idea and the Dwi Mitra Perkasa of Indonesia on the same occasion.
