Beijing, August 25 (KCNA) -- The 26th Summer Universiade closed in Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, China on August 23.

Present at the closing ceremony were leading officials of the Chinese party and government, the president of the International University Sports Federation and delegations and players of various countries and regions including the DPRK.

The vice-chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Universiade and the president of the Federation made speeches.

Then a ceremony of putting off the torch of the Universiade took place.

An art performance was given at the closing ceremony.
