Pyongyang, August 26 (KCNA) -- The 9th National Ssirum (Korean wrestling) Tournament for Grand Bull Prize was held at the wrestling site on Rungna Islet from August 24 to 26.

The tournament brought together more than 100 wrestlers from Pyongyang and each province. Divided into catch-weight and body-weight categories, they competed in knockout and league matches.

10 grapplers matched in the catch-weight category event in which Ri Jo Won, wrestler from North Phyongan Province, came first, winning the third straight title.

North Phyongan Province placed first in team standing, Pyongyang second and South Hamgyong Province third in the body-weight category event.

At the closing ceremony a grand bull, a gold bull bell and diploma were awarded to Ri Jo Won.
