Pyongyang, August 26 (KCNA) -- The delegation of the Chinese People's Daily today visited Mangyongdae where President Kim Il Sung was born and spent his childhood.

After the visit head of the delegation Yan Xiaoming, secretary general of the People's Daily, said that he was pleased to visit the old home of the President.

The President, who was born in a simple family, devoted his all to the country and the people.

He conducted energetic activities to develop the traditional friendship between China and the DPRK.

He is always alive in the hearts of the two peoples as he performed the feats in strengthening the Sino-DPRK friendly and cooperative relations.

The Sino-DPRK friendship provided by him together with the revolutionaries of the elder generation of China will be everlasting.

The delegation also toured the Tower of the Juche Idea, the Arch of Triumph, the Friendship Tower, the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum and other places.
