Pyongyang, August 27 (KCNA) -- The vice captain of a warship belonging to the puppet Maritime Police testified to the fact that warship Cheonan sank after running aground, according to CBS of south Korea on August 24.

He made such testimony at a trial of Sin Sang Chol, a member of the joint investigation team, who claimed that Cheonan sank after it ran aground.

Recalling that he received a message that Cheonan hit a rock, while sailing to rescue the ship, he said the Korean word Jwacho is usually used when a ship hit a rock.

It was first recorded in the report of the Maritime Police that the warship Cheonan ran aground, he added.
