Pyongyang, August 27 (KCNA) -- Heavy rain hit the northern area of Nigeria on August 21, killing 10 people and forcing at least 1 800 to evacuate. About 150 dwelling houses were destroyed as of August 22. Hundreds of domestic animals were carried away by flood.

Storm swept Puerto Rico on August 22, accompanied by heavy rain. About 770 inhabitants were evacuated, electricity supply to the residential quarters suspended and roads blocked.
