Pyongyang, August 28 (KCNA) -- A performance was given by the art squad of the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League and the youth itinerant art squad of the Paektusan Songun Youth Shock Brigade at the Central Youth Hall on Sunday, Youth Day.

Among the audience were Ri Yong Sun, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Ri Yong Chol, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth League, officials concerned, officials of the youth league and youth and students here.

The performance that started with narration and chorus "Thought of the General" included colorful numbers such as female trio and pangchang "Our Father Marshal Kim Jong Il" and narration and female chorus "The General Star beyond the Clouds".

It impressively depicted the great happiness of young people holding General Secretary Kim Jong Il in high esteem and the feelings of thanks to him who has shown great love and trust to them.

The performers clearly showed the faith and will of the youth and students to fulfill their obligation as the young vanguard of the Songun era in several numbers including mixed quintet "Youth Is Express" and high-pitched flute solo "Girl on a Galloping Steed".
