Pyongyang, August 29 (KCNA) -- Seminars, photo exhibitions and film shows were held in Kyrgyzstan, India, Pakistan, Mongolia, Bangladesh and by the secretariat of the Pan-African Movement from August 18 to 23 on the 51st anniversary of Kim Jong Il's start of Songun revolutionary leadership.

On display in the venues were photos on the exploits of the Songun revolutionary leadership of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

A. Usupbayev, chairman of the Central Council of the People Unity-"Kyrgys El" Republican Political Party of Kyrgyzstan, said that thanks to the Songun politics the peace and security were guaranteed in the Korean Peninsula and the region, and a firm foundation was laid to carry out the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea. This has helped remarkably enhance the international position and influence of Korea, he added.

Muhammad Berkat Ullah, chief of the Pakistani Organization for the Study of the Juche Idea, praised Kim Jong Il for not only firmly safeguarding the sovereignty and dignity of the country with the Songun politics but also bringing about world-startling changes and miracles in socialist construction.

Osieno Stephen, executive advisor to the general secretary of the Pan-African Movement, noted that the military power of the DPRK has entered the highest phase and amazing miracles and changes have been made in all fabrics of social life including economy, culture, education and public health under Kim Jong Il's Songun leadership for over 50 years.

The speakers at the joint seminar in India spoke highly of Kim Jong Il for brilliantly leading the struggle of the Korean people for the building of a great prosperous and powerful nation and national reunification through his outstanding Songun revolutionary leadership.
