Pyongyang, August 29 (KCNA) -- Foreign organizations marked the 51st anniversary of start of Songun revolutionary leadership by Kim Jong Il.

The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy and the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea said in a joint statement on Aug. 21 that under the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il the army and the people of the DPRK have firmly safeguarded the sovereignty of the country. His Songun politics is the most perfect political mode, he added.

The Indonesian Federation of Transport Workers Unions noted in a statement on Aug. 23 that Kim Jong Il put forward the Korean People's Army as the main force of the revolution and turned it into an invincible army that no army of any other country can match, thus bringing the national might to the highest phase.

It is thanks to the strong Korean army that a new war has not broken out in the Korean Peninsula and regional peace and stability been preserved till now since the Korean war.

Saber Ballul, head of Department of the Political Faculty of University of Damascus, in a statement on Aug. 24 said that it is recognized by the world that Kim Jong Il has led the Korean people along the road of Songun, bringing about a radical advance in the accomplishment of the cause of national reunification.

He stressed that thanks to the Songun politics the revolutionary gains have been firmly safeguarded and the politico-ideological and military positions of the Korean revolution have been further consolidated.
