Pyongyang, August 29 (KCNA) -- The opposition parties including the Democratic Party denounced the puppet authorities for scheming to create a fresh atmosphere of suppression, the south Korean CBS said.

Recalling that at the Supreme Prosecutor's Office the police, the intelligence service, Defense Security Command, etc. held a meeting for security measures on August 26, opposition parties said it was skeptical such meeting was held in the run-up to the next year's election.

They urged the authorities not to intimidate people by the same ruling method as employed in the period of the past military dictatorial regime.

The regime is working hard to tide over the ruling crisis through suppression but it will only entail adverse consequences, they warned.
