Pyongyang, August 29 (KCNA) -- Countries of the Horn of Africa have been gripped with severe drought and famine the worst in 60 years, said Jean Ping, AU Commission Chairperson.

He called on the member states of AU for the assistance to the affected areas, adding that they were playing a coordinated role in the efforts to dissolve the crisis in the countries of the Horn of Africa.
