Pyongyang, August 29 (KCNA) -- DPRK-made goods enjoyed popularity at the 1st Rason International Trade Fair held in the DPRK recently.

Local industrial establishments and companies exhibited more than 30 000 items in 180 kinds at the fair.

The Ryonha Machinery Company displayed cutting tools and measuring instruments while the Rason Hyesong Trading Company put garments on show. The Rason Orient Industry Company sent sulphur mud and medicine for skin nutrition to the fair.

Varieties of storage batteries made by the Taedonggang Battery Factory, organic compound fertilizer by the Rason Paeksok J. V. Company and inorganic foaming agents by the Rason Taehung Trading Company drew many visitors.

Many foreigners were interested in asteroid pills sent by the Jinung Trading Company, pillows made of natural active materials and moxibustion stones by the Rason Ogasan Technological Trading Company and steamed and dried Kaesong Koryo Insam (ginseng) by the Korea Jangsu Trading Corporation.

The August 28 General Trading Corporation exhibited overcoats, caps and mufflers made with rabbit fur and the Rajin Drink Factory put several dozen kinds of foodstuffs and soft drink on show.

During the trade fair, some of the local enterprises and companies discussed dealings and concluded contracts with foreign businesses.
