Pyongyang, August 30 (KCNA) -- Foreign papers carried special write-ups on the 51st anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of the Songun revolutionary leadership.

The Indian paper Krishna Aberta on August 22 devoted one whole page to articles under the headline "On the 51st anniversary of the great leader HE Kim Jong Il's start of the Songun revolutionary leadership" with his photo.

The paper carried articles under the subtitles "Songun and Kim Jong Il", "Leader and vanguard unit" and "Reason why war has not broken out on Korean Peninsula". It introduced in detail that the Songun politics pursued by him has laid a firm groundwork for the independent and peaceful reunification of the country and it is an effective political mode for the regional peace and security.

The Cambodian paper Kmae Amata on August 22 carried an article with a photo of him inspecting a unit of the Korean People's Army. The article said that the political, ideological, military and technological might of the KPA has been put on the high level thanks to his 50 odd year-long Songun leadership.

The Uruguayan paper La Juventud on August 21 carried an article headlined "DPRK attaches importance to military affairs" with a photo of him inspecting a KPA unit.

The international position of the DPRK has been remarkably enhanced under his Songun leadership, the paper said, adding that progressive figures of many countries are praising the Songun politics of the DPRK.
