Tehran, August 29 (KCNA) -- Rallies were held in many cities including Tehran in Iran in support of the establishment of the Palestinian independent state on the occasion of the International Quds Day.

Millions of Iranians participated in the rallies in cities and towns across Iran.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in his speech at a rally expressed full support and solidarity to the Palestinians' cause, adding that there will be no room for Israel in the region.

He also called on Palestinians to unite to establish the powerful independent state.
