Beijing, August 29 (KCNA) -- The Chinese Xinhua News Agency recently reported an article urging the United States to fulfill its commitments.

During his recent China visit, the U.S. vice-president said he had confidence in the security of dollar and the U.S. economic prospect and that the U.S. would never fail to implement its commitments. In this regard, the article said such confidence could be guaranteed only by responsible practice.

In order to keep its promise, the U.S. should put an end to excessive dependence on foreign loans, launch reforms, decrease the budgetary deficit and remodel the economic structure, the article noted.

It is high time that the U.S. showed the world its decision, ability and political will not only to make a promise but to keep it, the article added.
