Tehran, August 30 (KCNA) -- A carbon fabric factory was put into operation in Iran on August 27.

The factory was built with indigenous technology and by its own efforts. The carbon fabric being produced in the factory is said to be widely used in various economic fields including not only national defense industry but automatic energy industry.

The Minister of Defence and Armed Forces Logistics addressing the opening ceremony said that Iran continues to make great success in the field of defense up-building, while standing against the sanctions by the U.S. and the West.
