Pyongyang, August 31 (KCNA) -- A nationwide on-line system of Koryo medical service was established in the DPRK.

Scientists of the Academy of Koryo Medical Science and the Korean Computer Center established relevant database by analyzing and assorting a huge volume of information in an orderly way. They developed comprehensive program "Koryo Medicine" for diagnosis, prescription and consultation and opened up homepage "Koryo Medicine."

The homepage has special medical service assistance system for displaying the diagnosis of hundreds of diseases, their treatment and prescription, service system for the promotion of health of people, system for access to Koryo medical vocabulary and medicines and on-line consultation system.

The server works 24 hours a day, ensuring prompt and convenient provision of information to subscribers.

A computer room equipped with technical means recently started its service at the hospital of Pyongyang Medical College of Kim Il Sung University. Koryo hospitals in provinces and many other treatment and prevention institutions are following the suit.
