Pyongyang, September 1 (KCNA) -- Bangladeshi figures paid congratulatory visits to the DPRK embassy in Dhaka on August 25 on the 51st anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of the Songun revolutionary leadership.

Among them were Rashed Khan Menon, chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Bangladesh, Khaleq Zaman Bhuiyan, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Socialist Party of Bangladesh, Garib Newaz, president of the Bangladesh People's League, M. Jahangir Khan, chairman of the Bangladesh Group for the Study of the Songun Policy, and Ragib Ahsan Munna, secretary general of the Bangladesh-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Committee.

They laid a floral basket before a full-length painting of President Kim Il Sung standing together with Kim Jong Il before paying tribute to them.

They wished the Korean people greater success in their struggle to build a thriving socialist nation and reunify the country thanks to the Songun politics of Kim Jong Il.
