Pyongyang, September 1 (KCNA) -- A performance was given by successful organizations into a national art contest among organizations of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK) at the Central Hall of Workers Thursday to mark the 63rd birthday of the DPRK.

Put on the stage were colorful numbers prepared by art squad members of the UAW in rural villages in South Hwanghae, South and North Phyongan and South Hamgyong provinces.

The performers sang high praises of President Kim Il Sung who built the people's country on this land and laid an eternal foundation for its prosperity and the undying revolutionary exploits leader Kim Jong Il has performed by demonstrating the dignity and might of the DPRK before the whole world.

Mixed duet "We Are Kind-hearted Couple on the Farm", vocal trio and story-telling "Land and Farmer" and poem recital and story-telling "Let's Defend Our Land" vividly showcased the life of agricultural workers.

Among the audience were Ri Yong Su, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned and agricultural workers here.
