Pyongyang, September 1 (KCNA) -- The 10th national contest among angling fans was held on the bank of the River Taedong Thursday.

It brought together officials and members of angling fans association from across the country, more than 120 in all.

Those selected in provinces and national institutions used angling gears and baits prepared by themselves.

The standings were set according to the number and size of fishes caught during the given time.

An angling gear exhibition was also held on the same day. Put on display were 338 pieces of 114 kinds of angling tools and baits including automatic signal devices and universal bolsters.

Visual aids related to the angling were also displayed.
