Pyongyang, September 2 (KCNA) -- The Russian newspaper Patriot No. 32 devoted its five pages to dealing with leader Kim Jong Il's historic visit to Russia. The paper carried a portrait of the leader and an article titled "Ever-lasting Friendship". The article noted that the feelings of friendship between the peoples of Russia and the DPRK remain ever-green like a big tree unshaken in any strong wind. Kim Jong Il's visit to Russia in 2001 brought about many changes in the development of the relations between Russia and the DPRK, the article said, noting that all the patriots of Russia have always watched the struggle of the Korean people with deep attention. The paper carried the photo of Kim Jong Il standing on atop Mt. Paektu and edited more than 10 photos introducing Kim Jong Il's birthplace in the secret camp in Mt. Paektu, the Samjiyon Grand Monument and the Victorious Battle of Pochonbo Memorial Tower. The paper carried the photos of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il acknowledging the cheers of the popular masses and an article titled "People's Country". The article recalled that with the founding of the DPRK its people came to have a genuine people's government representing the interests of broad strata of working masses for the first time in their history and a bright prospect was opened to make historic progress of the entire Korean nation. The key to the invincibility and vitality of the DPRK precisely lies in that it is a government for the people, the article added. |
