Pyongyang, September 2 (KCNA) -- Various events took place in different countries on Aug. 23 and 25 on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of Kim Jong Il's start of Songun revolutionary leadership. They included a meeting in Norway, film shows in South Africa and Democratic Congo, book and photo exhibition in Uganda and a meeting and Korean book, photo and handicraft exhibition in Peru.

On display in the venues of photo and book exhibitions were photos on the Songun leadership exploits of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and books introducing the achievements gained by the DPRK army and people in their efforts to build a great prosperous and powerful nation.

Shown at the film shows were "Fireworks for a Thriving Nation" and "Korean People's Army, Steel-Strong Ranks".

The chairman of the Ostfold County Committee of the Communist Party of Norway said that Kim Jong Il held high the banner of Songun and led the Korean revolution along the road of victory, working world-startling miracles for more than half a century since his start of the Songun revolutionary leadership.

He stressed that the Songun politics is unique politics leading the DPRK people to one victory after another.

The coordinator of the South African Preparatory Committee for Commemorating the Centenary of the African National Congress said that the fireworks gala demonstrated the might of the DPRK, noting that the Korean people are firmly rallied around the leader.

The chairperson of the Ugandan National Women's Council said while going round photos and books on display she was deeply impressed by the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il who has glorified the DPRK as a politico-ideological and military power before the world.

The director of the Pyongyang Cultural Center in Peru referred to the fact that the center has conducted positive various political and cultural events to widely introduce to the Peruvian public the achievements gained by the army and people of the DPRK in their efforts to build a great prosperous and powerful nation.
