Pyongyang, September 2 (KCNA) -- The Socialist Popular Party of Mexico made public a statement on Aug. 27 congratulating leader Kim Jong Il on his successful visit to the Siberian and Far East regions of Russia.

The statement noted that the news of his visit to the Siberian and Far East regions is evoking a lively response among political and public circles of the world.

The indefatigable efforts and the boundless devotion of Kim Jong Il are greatly moving the DPRK and Russian peoples and the world progressives aspiring after independence, peace and friendship, it said.

The visit recorded an inerasable page in the history of friendship between the peoples of the DPRK and Russia and the world history of politics and diplomacy, noted the statement.

The visit will be recorded in the annals of the DPRK-Russia friendship as a great event which boosted the DPRK-Russia friendship and opened a bright prospect for establishing sound international relations and accomplishing the cause of global independence, it stressed.
