Pyongyang, September 2 (KCNA) -- The British newspaper Independent recently said it is expected that more than one million people will lose their lives due to the aftereffect of the damaged Fukushima Atomic Power Plant.

With radioactivity still coming out from the plant, the situation is much more serious than the Chernobyl accident, which claimed 200 000 lives, the newspaper added.
