Pyongyang, September 3 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Federation of University Students in the 21st Century held a press conference on August 31 to urge the authorities to take measures to stabilize the living of the students.

At the conference the speakers deplored the students are in such difficult condition that they should pay not only the registration fee but also a large amount of money under the name of expenses for teaching materials, etc. in each term.

They said every student should pay more than one million won for his or her monthly living on an average, a clear indication of the serious situation.

The "government" and the university side should come out to shape a budget and a policy for the stabilization of the students' living, they urged.
