Beijing, September 2 (KCNA) -- Forests covering more than 28 million mu have been created in Shanxi Province, China since 2006.

The rate of afforestation in the province reached 18.03 percent.

The province plans to increase it to 23 percent till 2015 and is pushing forward the afforestation.
