Pyongyang, September 3 (KCNA) -- The Bar Association for Democratic Society, the Democratic Law Society and other organizations in south Korea held a press conference on Thursday outside the building of the puppet Ministry of National Defense, demanding an immediate stop to Jeju naval base construction.

The organizations accused the authorities of their moves to mobilize even riot forces for the construction. This is anti-peace and undemocratic acts, they said.

There is no reason to construct costly naval base on Jeju Island, they said.

They called for withdrawing repressive armed forces from Kangjong village.
