Beijing, September 2 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry said Thursday that Iran, a signatory to NPT, has a right to use nuclear energy for a peaceful purpose.

Speaking to reporters, Ma Zhaoxu called on the parties concerned to make diplomatic efforts and continue dialogue and negotiations so as to provide conditions favorable for solving Iran's nuclear issue properly.
