Pyongyang, September 4 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions clarified that it would escalate the labor movement at a meeting in Seoul on September 1.

The organization underscored the need to wage an active struggle to frustrate the authorities' suppression of the labor movement and achieve the basic rights of workers and political rights of teachers and public employees.

It said to this end it would go round the whole region and wage various struggles including a meeting for encouraging the whole people to it

A resolution adopted at the meeting stressed the need to expand the struggle into a mass movement condemning the regime which backs financial group against workers and dynamically struggle to build a new world where the people have become the master.
