Pyongyang, September 4 (KCNA) -- The government of Vietnam has rejected a recent release by the U.S. embassy as it is based on wrong criteria about the sovereign enforcement of the Vietnamese Laws.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Nguyen Phunong Nga Thursday termed improper US comments on the detention of several nationals that violated the Law in Hanoi.

In Vietnam, said Nga, the Constitution clearly outlines and guarantees in practice our people's basic rights and liberties.

The spokesman said that the due institutions dealt with those who broke the law and order and caused public disorder, a measure used for the U.S. statement.
