Pyongyang, September 5 (KCNA) -- A summit of Pacific island countries was held in Nadi, Fiji on September 1 and 2.

Present there were heads of state and representatives of governments of 12 Pacific island countries.

Discussed there were the issues of developing regional trade, ensuring regional security, preventing environmental pollution and coping with climate change.

The Nadi Communique was signed at the end of the summit.
