Pyongyang, September 5 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Measure Council for Checking the Construction of the Jeju Naval Base held an emergency press conference outside the "government" building in Seoul on Sept. 2 denouncing the puppet authorities for their brutal suppression of actions staged by people of different social standings against the naval base construction.

At the press conference, the organization recalled that police walked off over 30 inhabitants and peace activists after blocking all the roads leading to Kangjong village under cover of darkness at dawn.

It noted this is little short of a terrorist act of reviving the terror-ridden atmosphere during the April 3 uprising.

The organization declared it would join Jeju islanders in steadily carrying on the actions against the authorities' naval base construction till the just demand of the people is met and peace settles on the village.
