Beijing, September 4 (KCNA) -- Liu Yandong, member of the Political Bureau of the C.C., Communist Party and state councilor of China, stressed the importance of international scientific and technical cooperation.

Speaking at the 9th national meeting of officials of foreign affairs in the science and technology field, Liu said China should expand the scope of scientific and technical cooperation with other countries and take a full advantage of international innovation resources to promote scientific development and economic growth.

She also called for training able scientific and technical personnel capable of undertaking important missions.
