Pyongyang, September 6 (KCNA) -- Alejandro Cao de Benos, chairman of the Korean Friendship Association headquartered in Spain, released a statement on August 28 congratulating leader Kim Jong Il on his successful visits to Russia and China.

All members of the association extend warm congratulations to Chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK Kim Jong Il on his return home in good health after his successful visits to those countries, he said.

He went on:

Kim Jong Il made a great contribution to ensuring peace and security not only in the Korean Peninsula but in the rest of Northeast Asia through his historic visits to Russia and China.

Kim Jong Il who is also Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army is leading the building of a great prosperous and powerful nation, meeting all sorts of challenges of the imperialists with his Songun politics.

Only victory and glory are in store for the Korean people led by Kim Jong Il.
