Pyongyang, September 6 (KCNA) -- Heavy rain hit Sind and Punjab Provinces of Pakistan recently.

88 persons have died, thousands of people evacuated and at least 700 dwelling houses collapsed as of September 4.

The victims number about 8 million. Relief work is under way.

Strong storm swept Japan on September 4.

The storm accompanied by heavy rain left 19 persons dead, 54 others missing and 38 persons wounded.

The electricity supply to inhabitants of more than 90 000 flats was suspended and traffic paralyzed. Damage is foreseen to expand.
