Beijing, September 5 (KCNA) -- The Chinese premier Friday advanced tasks to be carried out by the Ministry of Land and Natural Resources.

Acquainting himself with the work of the ministry, Wen Jiabao said the ministry should economize resources and make an intensive use of them and direct efforts to protecting and tapping resources in a rational way.

It should also make scientific and technological innovations and improve the working system, he added.
