Pyongyang, September 7 (KCNA) -- Garib Newaz, president of the Bangladesh People's League, issued a statement on September 1 on the 63rd anniversary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

The statement said: The undying feats of President Kim Il Sung will shine long for all ages as he founded the DPRK, a genuine independent and sovereign state where the popular masses have become the master of the country, and turned it into a socialist power, independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence.

The DPRK has always won only victories despite the imperialists' challenges and all ordeals and greeted a new heyday of building a thriving socialist nation as it is led by Kim Jong Il, an outstanding leader.

Wishing the Korean people success in their efforts to achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of the country and build a thriving nation in the near future under the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il, the statement extended full support and solidarity to the just cause of socialist Korea.
